Since about last Thursday I can barely hear my phone calls. Volume is all the way up for in-call volume and the Bluetooth volume settings. I've powered off and pulled the battery numerous times (for facebook issues and yesterday my photo Gallery icon took me to facebook, weird). Anyone else have this problem or have new ideas for me?

Stock Rezound with the ICS update.

I know it just sounds like a faulty speaker but try a factory reset. I know it sucks but it fixes a bunch of problems, Seems like you've tried everything else. If the factory reset does not work then I think you may have to just call VZW and have them Fedex Overnight you another Rezound, that's what I would do.

As for the gallery taking you to FB that is quite common. It's just a minor bug, I seriously wouldn't worry too much about it unless it is happening constantly everyday. My Rezound does that once like every 2-3 weeks. Good Luck :)

Just curious ... did you do a factory reset after getting the ICS update?

No factory reset done after the ICS update and I'd prefer not to at all.
Well, if you call Verizon or take it into the store, they will have you do it, it is troubleshooting step number 1 for many vzw techs... better to backup and do it yourself than go into a store and be kinda forced into it. It actually isn't that bad and the possible benefits far outweigh the hassle.

So what I am getting at is, do the factory reset yourself, especially since you are having issues with your device, it will need to be done before you can get a replacement anyway.

I would not reload apps from a backup, tho. Others here have dragged problems along for the ride after restoring apps from backups.

pretty much. what i do before i call tech support is a factory reset, check for software update, and pull battery and sim for 5 minutes. and do not install any apps before calling in. doing those 4 things, typically the calls to tech support are short. there isn't really much troubleshooting that they will do beside that. if you choose not to do factory reset, they may have you clear cache, cookies or whatever, uninstall apps, in the end, i find that none of these things really fix anything and then in the end, you call back, then they will probably tell you to do a factory reset, then call back. instead of 3 plus calls, just do it before hand. it may fix your problem. if not, it will save you numerous phone calls.

Its also a good way to clean house of the apps you don't or rarely use. I ended up cutting a lot of them out when I reloaded and installed just the ones I really needed. i tend to download a lot of interesting apps and then never use them again.

I discovered that if I use my speakerphone instead I can hear just fine.

You're being stubborn! The advice being given to you just very well might take care of your problem. Factory reset does fix a lot of issues. If not then you will get a replacement. Having sold previously I also would suggest. It is part of the troubleshooting. If you don't want to do it then go into a store and they can do it for you. Could be that simple or you get a replacement

:-) You've figured me out! I am being totally stubborn! Plus I haven't had much time to even think about doing a factory reset. The thought of having to set everything up again makes me cringe. LOL
