Call volume very low

Hi,
My call volume became very low- I barely hear the other party and have to turn on speaker. When I call, dial tone is low too. The slider in settings>sound is all the way up, but when I click on it the test sound it's very low too. Media and ring volumes are fine, like all other sounds. Tried restarting phone- did not help.
Is it a problem of phone app, or you could think of something else?
I have Motoz3 Play, Android 9 and my phone app is the latest.

Yes, safe mode does not change the volume. I turned on Hearing Aids compatibility and it got slightly better, but I presume it's a patch not a solution.

Make sure ear piece on top is clean and speaker on the phone ?

Hi! If the problem was with hardware it would exist for all apps, but media and ring volumes are fine, and calls via messenger is load enough.

While true , but different phones like on speaker phone only use bottom firing speaker, or in media , so nothing to lose try clearing out any grime with can compress air especially in ear piece speaker.

If all good there maybe a factory reset

Just tried- unfortunately dd not help. Will wait with factory reset for now- hate loosing all settings and messages

Well, did factory reset and went through all the troubles of resetting passwords. Unfortunately did not help.
I do think it must be a bug in the phone app.
