Call volume

My call volume is very low, even though I've turned it up to the max. This happen to anyone else? Any fixes?

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen when using a wired or Bluetooth headset as well, or on speakerphone?

Hi - thanks! No, on speakerphone and Bluetooth it's fine, completely audible. It's just a regular call when the volume is very low. In fact, I have to put it on speakerphone or walk into another room if I'm in a noisy place.

Is the earpiece speaker opening completely clear? Make sure there's no debris or lint stuck in there.

Did this start immediately after a system update?

It seems to be clear, yes. I haven't had a system update in a while, so I'm not sure if it's related to that. I'm also not sure if it's just naturally very low, but it seems as if it should be much louder.

Hmm. It doesn't seem as if it would be better in safe mode.

Also make sure to check the volume again once in a call with volume buttons and doesn't say media

Doesn't hurt to test. If it persists, then it's more likely a hardware issue.

Blue Stik adhesive can be your friend. Even if at first glance the speaker appears clean it may be dirty.
