Call waiting and adding a call

Does anyone else have this problem? When I am on a call and I get a call waiting call, I hit swap to answer the call then swap back to my original call. After this my screen still shows the other call is on hold and I don't have the ability to end it. If I hit end while picking up the second call it actually disconnects both calls. After this happens I have no ability to add a call and merge it as a conference call because the merge button is not available. It's still stuck on swap.

Has anyone else noticed this? If so is there a fix? Thanks on advance for the help.

I've never added a caller to an existing call, so I can't offer any suggestions there.

Regarding switching between callers - I've never figured out how to end one call while keeping the other in progress. I had this same problem with my previous Android phones - I think it's something inherent in the phone app design.
Perhaps a 3rd party phone app?

anyone else have a solution to this problem. Its really annoying as I use my phone all day for work and the phone does not manage the calls very well when you are on a call and then answer call waiting.

The issue is not android, Its CDMA and how it handles multiple calls at the same time.

If you ask someone in AT&T or T-mo, they won't have this issue

That is interesting so its a Verizon only problem? I'll have to ask my Verizon rep about any fixes then.

Nope, Verizon and Sprint. This is how it's been handled on every Sprint phone I've owned, Android or otherwise. I don't think any fixes exist at the moment. If they ever migrate to voice over LTE, that would probably resolve it.
