Caller ID Name - What Is Displayed?

Hi. I am considering moving from T-Mo to Project Fi. What name/information is displayed on the receiver's caller ID? I don't mind my number being displayed, but I don't want my actual name displayed unless I am in the person's contacts list. Is there a way to change it to serve my needs? TIA

Best way to get good information is to call Fi support at 844-talk2fi. I called twice before I joined up and support was/is excellent.

Thanks for your reply. I called and they told me it couldn't be changed, but I e-mailed Fi support and they said changing the Caller ID name was no problem. Once I verify the display info after I activate the Fi SIM, I will call them if necessary. There might not be a need to do so if the displayed info is acceptable.

You can always dial *67 first.

One way to do is as well is to change the name on T-Mobile's end; when i ported my number from MetroPCS, it seems I brought the account holder's name over, for it displays that instead of my name when I call.
