Caller ID sometimes not working after 2.2 update

I've received a couple of emails from the VZW folks and they say they are working on the problem and hope to have a fix soon....

I emailed HTC and they didnt' seem that they were even aware of the problem.

I am still having the caller ID issue. Maybe it is just affecting a minority of users. I wish they would fix it.

Any thoughts ?

Same problem on htc Evo running froyo. Sometimes the number name and picture shows up and sometimes it does not. I thought it might be a problem with the way the number was saved in the phone... For example with a dash or parentheses, but that does nor seem to be the case. Hope they fix it soon.
I also have an issue with the gmail app not letting me download attachments, I know that this issue is also only affecting a small portion of android users, I wonder if the issues are somehow related.

Thanks for your post, igy. I exchanged an email with HTC yesterday and they confirmed that VZW is working on a fix, which is also what VZW is reporting. I have the same exact problem with caller ID that you described.

I noticed there is a 17.7 MB update pushed to my phone yesterday. I haven't installed it yet, wondering if other have.
