Caller ID wrong on Galaxy S5 Active

Hi,

I've noticed that last few weeks (I've had my phone about 3 months and it's been happening about 3 weeks) that the caller ID comes up wrong. For instance, my daughter called me around 11pm, every call after that, that didn't have a contact picture, showed her picture on it in the Notifications area but the appropriate phone number.

I haven't downloaded any third party apps, I restarted my phone and it still happens, not only when she calls, when anyone calls with a contact ID picture, the next call(s) that don't have a picture all show the last contact ID picture.

Not sure why - anyone????

Try resetting your system cache, this won't change any data personal or otherwise on your phone:

Hold Up Volume, Power Button and Home button at the same time for about 1 second, till the splash screen appears (top left will say, entering recovery).

Use the vol up/down to scroll down to Wipe Cache...once its highlighted, hit the power button to select it. Once its done, reboot and see if that corrects the problem.

Thanks for the help but holding the up volume, power button and home button on the Galaxy S5 Active doesn't do anything. I did it for 1 sec, then 2-3, then tried about 5 seconds - nothing, just showed the volume going up.

You have to do it when your phone is restarting.
