Caller ID

I did a quick search and couldn't find anything to answer my question. When I call a phone, my number is showing up as unavailable. Has anyone else run into this problem?

edit to add that when I send a text, my name shows up correctly on their screen

You most likely have privacy enabled.
Go to your Account on Verizonwireless.com and go to Features> Caller ID Blocking... and disable it.

Speaking of caller id .... Why are my contacts caller id photos so low quality? The original pictures are ok and then when the contact calls or when I call that contact the picture is crumy. Anyone? Is there a setting for this?

Are they Facebook pictures by any chance? I found that the facebook for HTC downloaded higher quality images than Facebook for android.

Thanks for the reply but I don't have the caller ID blocking option in my features... unless I'm looking in the wrong place. I went to my account and then to change features. I have a check for caller ID, but I don't see caller ID blocking anywhere.

Not sure then... are you the primary account holder? You may be missing some features.

Straight from Verizon:
To permanently block your number from being displayed on any phone:
Sign-in to My Verizon.
Click on the My Plan tab.
Click on Add/change features.
Check the box near "Caller ID Blocking."
Click the Next button at the bottom of the form.
How to:Calling Features: Caller ID & Caller ID Blocking

You may want to call Customer Service.
