Calling all geniuses...I need help with S6 in Romania!

Ok, here are the facts:
Verizon based S6
I own the phone
I am in Bucharest, Romania
I have Telekom SIM installed, verizon SIM is out
Messaging, calls, data all work perfectly
I have deleted all US based credit cards from google play acct

Problems:
Little icon in top left corner always! "SIM card is not from Verizon"
When i go to google play store to download/search for apps relative to my location...i receive error saying "this app is not available in your country"
For example; "Cristaxi" is a romania app for calling a cab....i can not even download it.

Ok, i know this phone is "unlocked" from the factory....but how do i get it to stop thinking i am in USA...how do i get it "freed" from Verizon!?!?!?!?!?!?!

BTW....it is obvious i can not go to a verizon store!!!!! I am in Romania!!!!!!!

Does google maps show your location correctly?

Did you have to edit apn settings to get the data to work. I am currently away to with a verizon s6 and looking to grt a local services sim card

To get rid of the not verizon sim notification, hold down the notification and then force stop
