Are there any Android Smart Watches that act like the Apple watch so you can talk through when calling? I saw there was a third party app somewhere that made it possible, but can't find it again.
Looking at a Moto 360v2 or S2 Classic, or should I just wait?

I'm not sure I understand correctly. You want to make phone calls with the Android watch?
If so, yes, they can, they've done way before the apple watch came to be.

Yes to be able to talk through it. Why are they saying you have to buy the s2 3g then? I would like phone to ring, notify watch. Then answer and talk through watch.

The gear 2 Neo does this but I was not aware that any android wear watches could do this without a separate plan. I would like to know as I want a new watch ;)

Why do they not just act like a Bluetooth speaker extension to your phone, like a car or headset?

I don't think any of the current crop allow it though there might be some coming with a new Wear release.
The LG Urbane LTE 2nd Edition that was recently recalled and no longer for sale was the only Android Wear watch I'm aware of that was specifically designed to make and receive calls on your wrist, even without a cell phone connected.

With this watch removed from the market, you are left waiting for another AW watch to be released with these features or looking at other watches like the Samsung Gear S & S2 3G.

If anything, the Huawei Watch has hopes as in a teardown it was found to have a speaker inside as well. Give AW 1.4 increase in integration of speakers into new hardware, we might see direct calling off watches in the future. For now though, there's nothing.

I kinda do that with my LG GWR. When a Call comes in or go out and my phone is fairly close, I am able to answer the call and turn on the phone speaker from my watch, it is not really talking thru the watch, it is still thru the phone speaker/microphone, but since I can start, talk, and end the conversation without touching my phone, I feel a bit like DickTracy :)

BTW the app I use for the speaker function is Wear Speaker. https://forums.androidcentral.com/e....com.wearableloudspeaker&hl=en&token=BRVGMFJ8
(you can also mute, turn off speaker, initiate and end calls with this app)
