Calls keep getting put on hold

Anyone else have the problem where you will be in a nice long conversation and pause because didn't hear person talking to in a few...lol, thinking they are asleep, and then looking at phone screen and there is a little bar at top that has a graph and a button that says resume on it. Sometimes the Rtt menu is expanded. I am assuming related to proximity sensor since phone is to my face and nothing should be able to be selected. Anyone else and how can I stop this?

Try using speakerphone and see if it still happens.

If it stops, it's probably a defective proximity detector or a case interfering with the proximity detector.

If not, it's probably another internal defect.

If it's not the case you have the phone in, it has to go back. It's under warranty.

The in display proximity sensor, well documented that it's buggy compared to previous iterations/models.
Thing doesn't even turn off AOD like it used to with past Samsung models using a wallet leather cases.
