Calls on Roadster 2

Motorola newbie here! Just got my Razr HD yesterday living the feel and especially the voice commands.
and received I one call and things worked smoothly. Tried to make another call and it did not connect and I was barely able to hear the call through the handset although the volume was maxed. Any thoughts?
