Camera app crashed, now stuck on front-facing cam

I opened my cam and it was just a black screen, so force closed it via multitasking menu. I then re-opened the app and its front facing only, swiping does not switch and the menu has limited options.

Have tried restarts and cache clears and force closes on the app.

I don't particularly want to have to factory reset as HTC backup is ****

It was also sent to HTC to repair camera module (purple haze) only few weeks ago, so the module should be new.
