I have been having issues with the camera app, opens up and then just shows a dark blank screen, can't click any button and force closing the app doesn't work, only restraining the phone fixes the issue. I have also seen the QR scanner doesn't work. For example if go messages app and in settings click messages for web to scan the QR code it doesn't work and just hangs. Same with trying to scan QR code for WhatsApp web. I don't know if the latest camera updates are causing the issues for me. I did even a complete factory reset and set up everything from scratch instead of restoring from back up to see if the issues goes away. But still same issues with the camera app and works fine after I restarted the phone.

Sounds like mine wasn't the only defective one. Just curious, what chargers have you used with it? Any USB-C chargers other than the one that came in the box?
I am attempting to see if there are any "coincidences" among the users with this particular issue. I used a 30W "Turbo" charger that was designed for (an early version) of a Moto Z device, and the next morning, the camera died.

I just set up Messages for Web. Scanning the QR Code worked just like it should. Camera continues to work as it should.
Yes. Since I bought from BestBuy, I walked into the store and immediately got a replacement. The problem has not re-occurred. <fingers crossed>Did you receive your replacement and the problem no longer exists?
