Camera App Not Working

The camera app doesn't work along with all apps that use the camera. Blank black screen with error message that pops up "Gallery isn't responding. Do you want to close it?"

Opening the gallery works sometimes and sometimes doesn't.

My phone would randomly shut off at times before.. (not sure if this is related)

I tried to "clear data" from the gallery in settings as well as factory reset but that didn't work either.

Any idea how to fix?

If it works, there's a paid version to remove the ads.
It's pretty much the stock Camera & Gallery Apps.
There's also one base off JB.

Nope it doesn't work.

My phone is stock.

if clearing data and factory resetting doesn't fix it, AND other camera apps dont work, it is most likely hardware related....your camera is "F'ed"
i could be wrong...but when you restore to stock and it still doesn't work, it is 99% of the time hardware related.
try and get a replacement.

Hello, I know you've posted this question a million years ago, and since it's been that long...have you managed to resolve it by any chance?
I'm trying to help a friend with that exact issue, I came across answers such as,"uninstall WhatsApp while in safe mode...", but I'm not sure it will work, and I have to assist him over the phone, err his other phone lol!
