Have the Turbo and can't figure out how to stop the camera app from opening from the lock screen. I tried both enabling the camera to open with twisting the phone and disabling. I am running the latest update 21.44.12. I am using Nova Launcher which is updated to the latest version. I don't use the camera much and find it quite annoying that when unlocking the phone the camera opens. Any setting that I can disable so that camera will not open??

I don't have the Turbo, but is there a setting for the lock screen in Settings>Display?

Maybe the last update is just copying the Lollipop unlock way.

Swipe up - unlock.
Swipe left - camera.
Swipe right - dialer.

I am running 21.44.12 and Nova launcher as well. Mine doesn't do this. Do you have an alternate lock screen app running?

Next time you are on the stock lock screen, place your finger on the right edge. You will see a small white rectangle show along the right edge. Drag to your left - this will open the camera.

That's what jschlis was doing.

The proper way to unlock is to drag from the unlock icon in the center and drag toward the dotted circle that shows up when you place your finger.

Here is the user manual for the Turbo: https://motorola-global-portal.cust...414680708/redirect/1/filename/Droid_Turbo.pdf

Look at the illustration on page 18... (where I just learned you can also apparently swipe up from the very bottom to open Google Now... )

...and you can add pages to the left from a select group of widgets that can be seen, but not edited, while the phone is locked.

I didn't know this was an option. Learn something new all the time, I guess. I'll have to see how I can use this feature.
Thanks guys.

You all have me really confused. I looked at pg 18. My lock screen is all black, no dots around the lock, just a lock in the center and I swipe it down to an unlock icon. There is no image if a camera at the bottom right and if it is locked and hikd my finger on the right or anywhere else I don't get a rectangle or bar in the right or any indication that I can do anything other than swipe down to unlock. I think I only have standard launchers and such.

Also in screens and security, there is a check box to enable widgets. Can there be widgets on the lock screen, how?

You're talking about Moto Display, not the lock screen. The lock screen is what shows up when you power the display on from the power button, assuming your phone is locked and you've chosen the standard lockscreen.

When enabled they are opened the same way as the camera, just from the left side rather than the right side. The first time you swipe a large plus shows at the bottom of the screen. This will allow you to add a widget to that page. As I recall you can add multiple pages, one widget per page.
