Hi all ...

I had CM7 on my HP touchpad. After I had an automatic update for WebOS (and NOT knowing any better), I reinstalled CM7, then CM9 ... anyway, I had a mess. I found a link in the forum for Ice Cream Sandwich along with specific instructions on how to uninstall and wipe the android off of my HP Touchpad. I did all of that this morning.

Installed the latest ICS without any hitches. It's runny beautifully.

However, there is no Camera app ... I've looked everywhere, cannot find it. Every camera app (even vignette demo) that I download crashes.

Any ideas?

Well, heck ... I had no idea! Explains my frustration on why every camera app I try to use is nonfunctional!

No reason for your mean reply. Yes, it reads "mean."

Unfortunately, it is folks like you that makes "newbies" like me not want to post on here or other forums at all. I'm not a computer nerd, but I do like to tinker. Never had problems with CM7. Saw several posts about CM9 - didn't realize it was even ICS until late yesterday. There are so many posts about things that it is IMPOSSIBLE to know what is an official post or not.

Didn't your mother ever tell you that if you don't "have something nice to say, don't say anything at all"?

I sincerely appreciate this forum and most of the folks who post on it and especially those folks who don't seem to mind helping or answering questions.

I understand your frustration... we were all noobs at one point. Its very important to understand what exactly it is that you're doing to your device. Which includes lots of reading and asking any questions if you don't understand something. So that you know for the next time... every developer will always include a list of known bugs or issues of things that are not working yet with their ROM. Also included will be a changelog for every new ROM version that's released. It will inform you on any new features/upgrades and also if any known problems have been fixed.

Well if you're that sensitive no wonder you don't like posting on forums... anyways most the time someone has already asked any given question you wish to ask; my advice is to become a proficient googler... Then you won't be a "noob" or get flamed for asking for information that's readily available.

Now that I linked you to the official thread you'll know where to get your updates from now on, right? Wasn't I helpful? :D

I have to say, I'm getting quite disgusted by the individuals that slam other users across different forums. If you don't have something nice to say then keep your mouths shut plain and simple. It is very easy to misread or just not catch something that the devs write especially the CM posts they are very long and packed with info. So to the OP I apologize for rude people you may come across in your travels. DO NOT let these people discourage you, feel free to ask whatever you like for clarification....that's what we are all here for....TY

"slam"? Brusque, at worst. Your post and TC's response was more rude than anything I said, lol. Sheesh. Have you been experiencing culture shock recently, venturing into less militantly moderated forums or what?

Obviously your missing my point whether you or someone else, were all here for one reason and thats to learn off one another. If any of the Mods or Admins disagree with me then ban me, I could care less anymore. I've been around the scene long enough to know when to say something and not to. Remember we all started out knowing nothing... give the same consideration to others.

Okay guys.. the question by the OP was answered so there's no need to continue arguing with one another... you both make valid good points and both had a chance to say what you needed to say. In the future if you feel a member is being rude.. than report them and one of the moderators will handle it. Discussing it in the thread just throws the original question off topic. On that note.. move on.
