What happens is the video counter is Still rolling, on my phone that pause icon is just for looks, it doesn't do anything

Your screenshot shows that you have the correct version of the Camera app for the 7.0 final build - there's nothing to update to.

Sounds like you need to perform a Factory Reset or load the final 6.0.1 firmware. I don't know what else the problem could be (except for some weird hardware issue).

I'll give a reset a try, thanks for all the help, I'm pretty good around a phone and this has me stumped and I can't find any info on it, I wanna say that on one of the beta releases I was able to pause the video but I can't remember.

Did a factory reset and I have my pause function back, should of did that from the beginning, thanks for all the help.

You could try going to Settings -> Apps -> Camera -> Storage and clearing both the cache and data. Then go back one and Force Stop the app for good measure.

Then fire up the camera and see if the Pause control works correctly.

I had Ron's issue till I saw your post. Worked for me. Cleared cach and data, forced stop, re-started and all now works fine. Thanks GSDer.
