Today I noticed when trying to zoom in on automatic setting the camera was making a buzzing vibrating feeling and was not wanting to focus until I went back out to regular scan it didn't seem to happen when I used the pro mode

Damage from the fall while biking? Mine does not vibrate or buzz when zooming manually or in AF

On auto it would try to use the secondary camera while zooming, in pro mode it only uses the main camera. Possible damage to the OIS from the shock of the fall you mentioned in the other thread.

I think your phone has a concussion. . Looks fine on the outside because of the case. But, the insides may have been scrambled a bit.

Trying it out again today and no problems with auto zooming at any level I think it just had a glitch

My camera kept freezing every few seconds while recording a video earlier. It hasn't happened since so hopefully this isn't a persistent issue.

I have actually had my camera freeze just a couple of times in auto mode

I just wanted to reply here:

I have not noticed buzzing. The note 5 did that a long time ago. It would either buzz momentarily after you turned the camera on as the OIS came into balance, or it might even do it continuously.

Try tapping on the phone. I'm serious. Just take your finger and flick or tap the screen or the edge. not like tapping the screen to launch an application. Tap it like you would tap your fingers on a desk or something. That worked on the note 5.

Yes. Literally "banging" the phone like you would observe in a TV show or with old electron gun CRT.

No not a glitch and it will come back. I have replaced one note 9 already and the issue is appearing on my second note 9 now. Made a video about it. This seems to be camera hardware issue. I have been speaking to Samsung, and the only help they are willing to give me is to send the phone in. I can't do that. I have no back up phone. Check out my video. The 2x zoom makes the camera system buzz like a bee from vibration and causes images and videos to have wave blurry effect.

There are 3 different threads on Samsung site about this issue and impacted now my 2nd note. Here is what I have posted and made a video. Turn volume up to hear buzzing sound coming from camera. SUCKS.

This is a hardware problem and I am so frustrated. This is my second note 9 in 2 months. Bestbuy gave me a new one after I took it in and showed then how the 2x zoom and auto focus, in pictures and when taking videos makes the entire phone and camera system vibrates with a very audible buzz sound as well as blurry, wavy images and video.

Bestbuy was nice enough to replace the phone with another brand new one after 25 days of use and 3 week into the new one, the camera problem reappeared. I have it on video. Please see link below, and play volume loud to hear the dang bee like buzzing coming from the camera system. I actually would like my money back at this point. Not going to replace the note for the 3rd time. I am done. Never had an issue with Note 8 for an entire year. Something is wrong with note 9 camera and it is hardware. Here is the video.

NEED THIS ESCALATED TO SAMSUNG LEADERSHIP ASAP. this is not acceptable.

my note 9 had the buzzing since last week as well. Any way to fix this other than bringing it back to the shop?

I wouldn't think so ,that's a internal problem which mean phone probably needs to be taken apart.

damn... alright will bring it in when I have the time.

on a side note, is the best way to back up the note 9 using smart switch?

Then probably safe bet do it both ways incase anything ... usually cloud is 15gb storage I dont remember seeing how they divide that up with app storage.
