Camera has become very light sensitive/glary

The camera for my HTC One M8 has seemed to have become very sensitive to light. I can't take any photos without light making the picture very glary. Just wondering if my sensor is damaged? I have played with all the camera settings and nothing changes the light glare, even ISO.

Some pictures attached, one when the phone was new with no light glare and one recently which shows the light glare.

Any ideas? Thanks

It's the lense film. Get a credit card and scrap it off. Use a little bit of force. The thread a couple of lines under this one addresses it. I had the same issue as yours and was frustrating. It did this method and worked perfectly.

Use the toothpaste method I do that all the time in it stays clear for a lil while
