Camera image size settings

At times I need to send pictures via e-mail and need to select the lowest image quality so that it will go through. I am not able to figure out how to change the size and which one would be the smallest image size possible.

The lowest resolution would be the smallest size (and typically, .jpg is smaller than .png), but I can't tell you where in the S10 camera app the size selection is. Usually in the Settings in the camera app, though.

I have the same question as the OP and all I've found is this link from Samsung.

This seems to imply only a format selection and not a smaller image size say something 800x600. I don't see how changing to the HEIF saving mode helps in getting a smaller image by pixel count.
