camera is slow

its been a couple of months now but i thought the ICS update would fix the problem (it didnt). there is significant lag after pressing the shutter button (about 3-4 secs). it all started when i upgraded my sd card from 8gigs to 16gigs. you guys think that has something to do with it or is it something else?

Mines did that i turned off anti shake..auto contrast etc..it snaps much quicker
