camera issue with CM7 and Liquid

I've recently tried both CM7 and Liquid Smooth ROMs and am having a camera issue.

I use the app checkpoints which lets you scan product barcodes and get points. With my stock gingerbread ROM, everything was fine. With CM7 and Liquid, when I look at what the camera is going to shoot, the image is squished from the top and bottom (looks like it's being flattened) and won't scan the barcodes.

I know this is a very specific problem to a specific app, but I thought maybe somebody might know the underlying issue or a potential camera fix.

It is worth mentioning that when I use the regular camera app to take a picture (not through the checkpoints app) everything is fine.

No problems with my CM7.1.1 version... and I'm fairly sure I tried this on my most recent version of Liquid Smooth 3.2... I'm using an app called Barcode Scanner... what app are you using??? I don't think there is anything wrong with the camera app... it's probably the app you are using.

The app is called checkpoints. If you go to certain stores you can scan the barcode of specific products and get rewards points. I flashed back to my stock nandroid backup to test it and it is working fine which suggests a ROM issue, or maybe a compatibility issue. I forgot to check one of my other barcode scanner apps when I was still on liquid. Maybe i'll flash liquid again and try one of those other barcode scanner apps.

It appears to definitely be the way the checkpoints app is interacting with the camera. Flashed liquid and my barcode scanner app works just fine with the camera. I put in a help ticket with the support team of the app. I'm doubtful they will be helpful since this isn't a stock ROM but figured I'd give it a try.
