Camera Issue

I've had the Rez for a little over a week now and loving it. However I've had a couple of incidents with the camera which I need your input on. Forgive me in advance if this has been posted before but I did a search and couldn't find anything that sounded like my problem.

Like I mentioned it has happened a couple of times already, about a week apart. Last night when I was going to take a pix right after I pressed the shutter button on the screen the whole screen went black and wouldn't come back on. I tried pressing the screen first, then the Home button and it wouldn't respond. Then I tried the power on/off button (tap and then hold) and again it wouldn't respond. I had to pull the battery out before I was able to get the phone to work again. It did the exact same thing about a week ago but I didn't think it was a big deal then.

Once I got the phone back to turn back on and checked the gallery the pix had not been taken. Everything else seemed ok. Truthfully I can't remember if I activated the camera from the lockscreen or from the home screen. But I do know that both times it's happened it was the 1st pix I was going to take. I tried to replicate the problem tonight but I couldn't, going through either screen.

Anyone heard or had a similar situtation?? Everything else on the phone has worked as it should and I've taken many wonderful pixs on it already.

Not sure if it is applicable to your situation but I had a similar event quite awhile back. I chalked it up to the fact,.since dual cores are not optomized for use on GB, it locked up. I had alot of open running apps & was rushing to get the shot before the camera fully loaded. Our phones are fast but not really meant to be pushed to respond according to our schedule I haven't had any hiccups since, although I did switch to running custom roms shortly after that. Might wanna try to llighten the processing load if you know you your gonna be snapping pics. Did any of your missed snaps end up in the lost.dir folder? That's a bummer if you have swap out your device already.

I'll check that folder for the missing pixs, but that's not a big deal. I haven't had any other issues so I'm hoping I don't have to return it but I've only got this week left in the return period.
