So my N5 is not quite 2 months old and my main camera has a hunk of junk under the lens. It was fine and then, poof, there it was. I can actually see it but can't get to it.

I have an Express Warranty Exchange on the way but what a pain on a near new phone. Not to mention going through all the setup junk again. Oh well, vent off.

The pic is a solid color wall...

:S not a good experience :(

I've seen this a few times in many phones, mostly with dust that starts building up inside. I even have an iPhone that has the camera lens covered in dust and lint but thankfully it's not covering the actual lens, so it doesn't show up in pictures... yet.

I've never had issues like that with my Samsung phones, though. Maybe once with a speaker that 'fell off' but that's it.

Compressed air shot through the ear piece or on the camera lens before you do the swap... Maybe you can dislodge it?

Now that the back is not removable, it should have cut down on that..? Worth a shot though..

Thanks for the thought but I don't want to dislodge it only to have it re-appear again later.

Yeah... May be worth the effort.. When the proximity sensor on my 3 failed early on, I just left it for the 2 years I had the phone but you're right, who knows where that junk would go in your phone!
