Camera lag

So when I first got my G5 I was happy that the camera lag issue I had with my G4 seemed to have been fixed. But now I'm starting to see it again. When I try taking a picture with the camera it lags for a full second or two before the picture snaps. For me it's a big problem as I have a Siberian Husky puppy that darts around and will only hold a position half a second before I can get a picture off. Any fixes on this?

This is odd. Have you found any forum threads around here of users stating the same issue? Have you tried restarting your device? Any recent downloads of camera/photo apps?
