can the lens cover be replaced?

Did we ever determine if the lens cover can be replaced? Mine got a drop of moisture under the lens somehow and it appears it isn't going away completely (been several weeks) as it left some residue behind after it dried. No idea what it was or where it came from.

This is the best solutions I've found for preventing my camera lens from getting scratched and I've tried a few. It's called the Lens Protector and it eliminates the problem without the need for a case and is very inexpensive.... Problem solved and I get to "Go Naked" !

I went and ordered one of these last night. It looks pretty damn useful, and apparently you get two. I don't like cases either, so, we'll see!
