Camera makes buzzing sound when focusing

Exactly as the thread states. Why?

Does the focus still work, or is it slower or blurrier? The autofocus mechanism is a moving part, so if it's jammed, it might make some odd sounds.

Focusing has been a nightmare since replacing my camera glass. I imagine there's glass jammed in there.
