Camera not working, just blank multi colored screen

I didn't drop it, get it wet etc etc, but out of no where today my camera and video camera on my Incredible stopped working. For both, I bring the app up and it just shows a blurred red and white screen, no matter what I do. The screen doesn't move, it is still. I shut it off and on, removed the battery etc. etc.

Before I trek to my Verizon store which ALWAYS has a line for service, does anyone have any pointers?!?!?

Clearing your cache and data in the camera application might work if not a factory reset which will wipe your phone. First try going to settings>applications>manage applications>camera then click clear cache and data. If that doesn't work I'm sure Verizon will have you do a factory reset which will wipe your phone clean in other words it will be just like the boot.
