Camera oversharpens?

Just got the G2 last Friday. Been running it through the standard tests. One thing I've noticed is that the camera tends to overprocess. In a lot of my photos, people's faces tend to come out looking like someone performed some bad plastic surgery on them. Anyone having the same issue?
