Camera photos showing up darker under light?

Anyone notice under light (lightbulbs, not sun) that the photos show up darker? I've tried both HDR and non-HDR. When I take a photo in a bright area, the photo comes out darker. (not as bright as what I'm seeing through the lens) Is this normal? Clarity is fine, just not sure why they aren't displaying as bright as what I'm seeing through the lens.

Compared it to the wife's iphone 6+ and the iphone snapped photo identical to what was being shown through the lens.

It's the phones screen brightness. It brightens up when you use the camera app but not when you look at the photo. If you turn up the brightness or look at it on a computer it will look great. I'm not a cean of that either but that's what I've noticed with every Samsung phone I've had

Good to know, thanks a lot for the reply. I haven't used a Samsung phone in quite some time. Kind of irritates me, but as long as it's not defective, I'll live.
