Camera Question - Wavy Lines When Focusing?

It can. If you see them on screen when you snap it, they'll be in the photo. But if you just let the camera settle for a second or three, you will see them disappear on screen. Then it is safe to snap the photo.

I am not sure exactly what causes this, but I remember seeing it on my old Nexus 4 when using Camera FV-5 with certain modified camera settings (usually high ISOs and long shutter speeds). The CMOS sensors in these cameras don't actually have mechanical shutters like a DSLR. They switch on and off electronically, and I am guessing there is some kind of moire occuring with some speeds and frequency of light. Like I said it eventually settles down and clears up... but I was surprised to see it in the first place. It was immediately apparent at the Moto X display at the local Verizon store (with a white counter under fluorescent light); but I can make it happen here under LED light as well.
I tried to reproduce the black bars. The picture was taken as soon as it focused. I dont see any black bars as shown in the above photos in this thread. There are shadows around the fire extinguisher of course .Taken under Fluorescent lights, indoors of a beige(cream color) wall. I took more then one pic(3 pics) trying to trouble shoot and reproduce the black bars but I couldnt .

I'm really sorry for bumping such an old thread but what I'm trying to explain might be useful to someone.
I'm not even sure if this post already had a solution.

I got a similar problem on my old Samsung Galaxy Grand DUOS GT i9082
I was using the Camera FV-5 and I noticed a similar horizontal lines appearing on my screen while using the camera.
Since Camera FV-5 provides plenty of advanced settings I can play with.
I messed up with the setting called 'Antibanding'[Not really,me messing up with it actually fixed my problem]
At the 'Antibanding' setting,it is set to 60 Hz before.
After I changed it to 50 Hz,the horizontal lines are gone.
SO , I thought you guys might wanna check this app out and try out my solution, maybe? It might be useful to someone>Just tryna help
I even signed up just to reply to this.Thanks.
