Camera Update on the way

We don't know if this update changes anything. Let's wait and see. In the meantime the camera settings mentioned on the XDA forum work great.

Actually I think we do know. That article has an update where they have retaken the photos that they took before the update and the conclusion is clear.

I don't understand the comments above about this being a US update that brings it in line with the international versions. My current Sprint variant has version 1.32.651.17 installed. The version noted in this thread is less than that and clearly they would not regress the firmware. I don't understand.

I believe the pertinent numbers are the last two. The others vary, depending on country, carrier, etc.

AT&T and T-mobile both are in final carrier testing.
Will take a week or so from this thread starting to receive it.

Thanks read the phandroid article now and they mentioned the same. This is where I should have kept my original unlocked order and not canceled it. Today couldn't control myself and bought the T-Mobile version from my local store. Hate the carrier versions because of this carrier testing approval etc. Need to the s-off and do full conversion to unlocked later down the line.

You would be crazy if you think that the camera reviews haven't cost HTC sales. Heck it was my next phone until the reviews rolled out.

Exactly. I wanted to get the M9 as a replacement for my Nexus 5. However I didn't want another phone with just a passable camera. So I went with the Galaxy S6 instead. REAL HAPPY with its camera.

Both my wife and I got the M9 on Saturday (one from Verizon and one from Best Buy) and I don't remember them installing the update and I have tried to manually update but it says no updates are available. Our software version is 1.33.605.15.

Same here. The manager at the store mentioned he saw something on their intranet about an incoming update. Hopefully we will see something in gbe the next few days.
