camera won't turn back upright

I took a picture with my camera sideways and now it wine turn back upright. Even when I hold the phone vertical. It takes the pic horizontal.the icons won't even turn the right way. I've restarted the phone but it's still not fixed. Any suggestions?

Check your settings. do you have screen rotation on? Sorry for pointing the obvious out
