So I covered a rear camera lens to see which one I was using at the time. And I found out if I covered the one on the right (when the screen is facing you) that it is never actually used. How do you actually use both the cameras?

If I am not mistaken it's all down to lighting conditions, if you are in Auto mode.

I believe in Pro mode you can play around and even have the phone take images with both cameras.

Take what I have said with a grain of salt, I am not clued up on Cameras.

To activate both cameras, you have to press Live Focus. You will get 2 versions of the picture. One will be zoomed in, and you will be able to adjust the background blur (before or after). You can save one or both versions. The Live Focus will not work if there isn't sufficient light.
