Cameras: Note 20 Ultra vs S20 Ultra vs iPhone 11 Pro Max

All flagship cameras are great these days so there is much to separate them for stills but zoom is where samsung are ahead of phones like the iphone, pixel, one plus.

Is there any way to know if that person is really using the phones he/she says? I watched that video right after another YouTuber's video that used some of the same photos claiming to be from other phones. I guess it could be a coincidence, and I'd have to watch them again, but it seemed to be the exact same photos, not just at the same place.

With the laser auto focus on Note 20 at least we won't be complaining about auto focus we did on S20 Ultra

I know there were many that were happy but personally never was happy with auto focus on the S20 Ultra even after multiple updates of "fixing the problem".

Yeah I think the quality of the 108mp will become even greater with great auto focus.

I think I can live with the Note being 1st 2nd or 3rd, I'm the limitation of the camera no matter what :-)

Absolutely useless comparison video. They never show the phones or how they are testing, seems rather suspicious all 3 cameras take the same photo at the same moment. If it was set on a rig to hold all 3 and snap photos simultaneously why didn't they show it?

Even more so, it's a 1080p video showing 3 images side by side compressed for YouTube. It's impossible to judge if the photos look good or not but the vast majority of them looked like pixelated compressed garbage that would discourage me from buying any of those phones.

The only thing the video shows is the variation in how they capture color and saturation. Which isn't that important unless you are working on a color calibrated monitor and need precise color accuracy. The vast majority of us view photos that have been edited to some extent on displays that aren't calibrated to accurately show color anyway. Even our screen brightness effects how an image looks.

At the end of the day I could go shoot photos with my ancient Note 3, upload them to lightroom, tweak the colors, and create this video claiming it's a comparison between whatever 3 phones I want. I need to find an actual review that provides sample photos in full resolution.

Here's a little hands on vs the pixel 4a. To me eyes at least, the pixel still takes much better pictures of people than the note. Portrait looks much better on the shot that he took on the pixel too.
Samsung's image processing had been disappointing on every one of their phones I've seen/tried. I think i would just have to accept having a worse camera for stills mixing from a pixel to the note.

From the pictures i have seen the photo quality looks just as good as the pixel line if not better. Auto focus seems to have improved a lot from the S20 ultra

The note 20 ultra line seems to do far more natural photos than previous samsung devices. Need it in my hands to test properly but the pixel as great as it is with stills is very one dimensional. It simply isn’t good enough in other areas to be the best complete camera.

If the pixel is better i wouldn’t say the difference is enough to matter personally.

Not enough to judge on really. Need more comparisons with different shots.

Definitely need more comparison shots, but this has been my experience with every other Samsung phone I've used. Not great for point and shoot pictures of the kids, pets

I’m really interested to see if this has been fixed as let’s face it that’s what people take pictures the most of
