I like almost everything about this phone. But the cameras are really bad. They are OK for 1x but 3x to 10x goes downhill fast. 10x is terrible. I was hoping they would have improved this on the 4. Everything else is great.

I did sweetheart. They were supposedly improved and had decent reviews. But they are still garbage.

I don't know how it compares to the previous Folds but looking at the hardware I'd expect inferior performance to the recent Galaxy S Ultra phones.

The primary sensor is much smaller than that in an S22 Ultra, smaller than the latest Pixel or IPhone as well, that's a trade off for having a phone that folds.

Even the telephoto lens which is only 3x has a smaller image sensor behind it than the 3x lens on the S22U, and it lacks the 10x lens that the S22U has. With a weaker main lens and 3x lens it doesn't surprise me the digital zoom beyond 3x looks terrible.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say, the masses that buy this phone are not buying it primarily for the cameras. Just isn't the main drive for this phone imo.

True but for the obscene cost, it should at least compete with most camera systems. No biggie. The pixel 7 pro is out next week and this thing is going back.

That's cool. You gotta do you and what makes you happy. The Pixel 7 pro is sure to be an awesome phone that I am sure you can't go wrong with. I also have one on pre order

If you expecting phone camera to compete at professional level you need to look at the DSLR. I think the camera on this phone does a good job.

The fold 4 is equivalent to s22 plus camera which is pretty good

The camera is not the best but it’s very good. If you are a camera first person I don’t see why you would buy a fold.

There is a chance something is wrong with the camera(s) in your device. Cameras on the S22+ are good. The photos in the Pics thread look pretty good.

I love the phone for everything but the cameras. I still have my pixel 6 pro that I use for birthday parties and such.

The cameras are a lot better than the Fold 3. Not the best cameras available but they hold their own pretty well. There is a comparison shoot out videos out there between the Fold 4, S22, and iPhone 13, and the Fold 4 won a lot......

I've always said if you want a professional camera, looking for that on a phone isn't the brightest idea. The fold 4 camera is good, I haven't had a bad picture yet.

I haven't on the cameras, just the battery.

But then again, I'm on the side that thinks the camera is already pretty good
