Android Central Question

I had a Samsung Galaxy S8+. It was advertised before that it can use up to 256 GB microSD storage. Now that the Note 9 can use microSD 512 GB, can this be possible on Galaxy S8+ tooÉ

Forget about the SD card ask how good is the glass, check you tube, my glass has broken 3 times, twice no reason, and i only had it a year, NO MORE samsung for me

"up to 256 GB" means SDXC, which means up to 2TB. They've only tested it with 256GB at the time they wrote that blurb, but even old phones rated as "up to 64GB" now take 512GB cards. And as the cards go up in size, the phones will keep accepting them - until we go over 2TB - then SDXC will be replaced with a different standard that can use more than 41 bits for an address. What that will be is something we'll find out.
