Can anyone help me out with some network issues I am having?

New phone will not send texts at work. Wi-fi works. Won't connect to 3g, only 1x or nothing.

Hey everyone. I just upgraded from my droid razr to an HTC one remix. I work in an old concrete basement where you need to connect to wi-fi to use internet otherwise you only get patchy 3g. Up until now it's been no problem. But now that I have my new phone I can only send maybe 1/10 texts while at work and no multimedia messages. If I shut off wi-fi it's no longer 3g service like I used to get. It switches between 1x (which is where I can sometimes get a text through) or no service at all. I just get a message that pops us and says would you like to try later when there is digital service? I also can't sync with my Bluetooth when in the building. Everything else on my phone works just fine. As soon as I step outside the building into 3/4g it all works just fine and all the texts come in.

Any reason my new phone can't use the 3g that my old phone did? It has become VERY annoying to go outside just to communicate.

try switching to the Hangouts App and/or the Textra App for SMS/MMS/Texting and also make sure your APN settings are correct. see these threads -

No you cannot send MMS over WiFi. There may be an app that would allow this but none that I know of. As for not getting 3G any more that is kind of shocking because the radios in HTC products are usually better than the ones in the Motos and Sammys, but I don't know that much about the Remix maybe it has a lower build quality to make the price right? Looking at the comparison in the link below they have the same radio capabilities but that does not equate to the same radio.
