In really at my wits end with this, first I was going to get the z10 then the Xperia Z, then I switched back to the z10, now I'm looking at the nexus 4. I was thinking of getting the 16GB off of Google play in a couple weeks, then get the T-Mobile $30 100 min of talk, unlimited texting, and 5GB of data from Walmart. Is there other options like this? Something that has nice specs but won't cost an arm and leg. I'm really cutting costs, so I can have more pocket change.(Any suggestions you have let it be T-Mobile compatible. I'm leaving Verizon for good.)

Probably getting the Nexus 4 from Play and T-Mo prepaid is probably the way to go. Many people have been posting over the past few months that they will never leave prepaid. However, a different suggestion on a device, the Oppo Find 5. More expensive, but I have heard nothing but stellar reviews for it.

True I have heard good things about it. But I'm trying to stay <$350.

Nexus 4 is <$300, and even though it is approaching 1 year old, it still is a very capable phone.
You might want to wait for the Moto X details. Rumor has it that it will be a $300 off contract phone.

Of you want to save money up front, get a $0 phone from T-Mobile during their promotion. You'll pay a bit extra every month to pay it off, but it's essentially an interest free loan that let's you get a top spec phone.

If it come out soon, and compatible with T-Mobile then perhaps. I just want a decent cheap phone to use on T-Mobile prepaid. I'm leaving Verizon for good.

I m not against LG or Optimus, but there are so many out there. Overall, I think you should stick with Nexus.

Found it on HSN.com for $249 new with case and sim for T-Mobile. The lumia 521 runs $119 no contract. No wonder its the best selling windows phone, its so cheap. Why can't android have a decent phone like that at that price?

Did you end up getting the SII? Even though its a few Years old, it should still be a very capable device, especially if you root it.

I would still go with the Nexus 4, seeing that it is still a fairly recent device. In addition to that, it will continue to receive updates straight from Google, so you will be able to keep it for longer without it becoming obsolete.
