Can barely hear the ringer

I could barely stand the wait for my LG v10. Loved my Nokia Lumia 1520 but I couldn't download some needed apps for my profession as a Realtor. Had it not been for that I would have kept my Windows phone until it died.

On my Lumia I could hear my ringer from a different floor. With the sound on the LG v10 powered to max I can barely hear it when it's close by. I've used loud ringer tones I downloaded and some stock ringers and it doesn't matter - sound is not good!

Funny how some people feel the LG v10 is too big - I'm getting used to the smaller size from the 1520. I like the 2nd screen, but I'll need to buy hearing aids to notice when it's ringing!

Am I missing something? I powered up from the back and went into the sound settings and have it up to the max. Help! I've never returned a phone before and would really like to keep this.

How long have you had the V10? I feel like this kind of notification volume is not characteristic throughout all LG devices; as I can hear my LG G3 from the basement when I get an email notification. It could just be an issue with your specific V10 - and not V10's in general. I would return it to your store/carrier and ask for a replacement.

Just as an aside, I have heard a lot of great things about the V10 (I may even grab one myself when it comes to upgrading time - I'd pay outright for it, even, which I've never done before! - that's how much I like it!); and so I think this issue may be device-specific.

LG also has their own customer service email system on their webpage. I've used it before and a customer support specialist emailed me back the next morning (so about 9-13 hours later; which is actually pretty good when you think about it!); so shooting them a message is always an option.

Thanks Morty2264. I took it back to AT&T and they agreed there was an issue that they felt was a software issue. They did a hard reboot & actually turned off the volume (I just turned it down and up - they put it to silent and then turned the ringer sound back on) and it seems to be working better now. I really didn't want to give up on it and I figured it wasn't normal so I'm glad they fixed it.
