Can Bluetooth profiles on S7/Edge be customized for phone audio only?

I am currently on iOS and looking to jump to Android in the next week or so. The main reason is that I was told by other Android users that you can customize Bluetooth profiles in Android to do phone audio only (or media only or both), which you can't do in iOS. However, I stopped in a Verizon today and connected my Bluetooth to the S7 Edge that was on display then made a call to my personal cell phone. While still using the phone function, I connected to maps and entered a route and the audio from the map came over Bluetooth, even though I was on the phone. This is what happens with my iPhone (even if I turn off voice over bluetooth in the map settings)...as soon as I make a call, all audio starts going through my bluetooth.

Another user on here showed me a screen grab of their Nexus 6P and it, indeed, shows the ability to individually select phone and/or media audio. I've attached a pic I took of the S7 Edge and it doesn't give that option. It only shows "Call Audio" as the option when my Bluetooth was connected, even though the map audio came through the Bluetooth when on the phone (but through the phone when I wasn't making a call).

So, anyway, long explanation, but can the S7/Edge do the same thing as the 6P in allowing you to select phone and/or media audio only for a specific Bluetooth device?

Hmm it may be the particular headset you are using? With my truck, my Jawbone Jambox and my Jaybird X2, I see the options on each device to set it for Call vs Audio on my S7. But it seems like I used a different Bluetooth device that didn't have those options but I see it on all the Bluetooth devices I have right now....

Whether a particular phone can perform a particular Bluetooth function depends on the Bluetooth software in the phone. Some can shine your shoes, some can't even answer the phone.

Normally, your choices are Audio (music, sound from videos, etc.) on or off and telephone (sound on or off).

Some day we might get full Bluetooth in a phone, but right now all we have is media and telephony. If you want the phone to play audio from a movie through Bluetooth, but NOT play the fact that you have an incoming phone call, but switch to Bluetooth if you answer the call ... you're about a decade ahead of reality.

No, that's not quite right. I just don't want any audio other than phone audio to come through my bluetooth. I don't want it to miraculously switch around on it's on. I just want the option to set the Bluetooth audio to call audio only. From the response about it sounds like that is an option and maybe it's just my Bluetooth.

I have a Old Jawbone HD. It will play Media and Phone audio on my Note 4 but I have had 2 different Note 5's and it won't play media audio on either phone. I was hoping it was just an old device.
