Can Google photos sync favourite photos from Android Huawei phone ?

Hello

I have a Huawei P20Pro and just bought some space on google photos to sync my images. I know that Google photos has a favourite fonction but I would like it to detect my Huawei favourite images automatically... but it doesn't... and so its pretty complex to find the images I want when I am browsing through them online.

I tried to create specific albums and have them sync but they just sync the content and not the album so I am back at square one...

anybody has a suggestion ?

Are you using the Google Photos app on your phone or just the stock gallery? If you use the albums and favoriting thru the app, it will sync online. If you're just using the stock gallery app that came with the phone that's probably why it's only syncing the content.
