Nope, with the stock launcher, you can't hide apps that you want to use. ICS does allow you to "disable" bloatware though...from the app info screen. That's new.

For me, it just asks if I want to "Uninstall Updates" or "Force Stop". Only like 4 apps was I allowed to uninstall or "disable"

You need to uninstall the updates from the app you want to disable before the disable button will display.

Go to APPInfo...Uninstall Updates...back to AppInfo...and the disable button should be displayed.

Yea, I hate that option is gone.
I mean really, you might have some..ahem...apps that you want to keep, but not want everyone to see. :)

Hiding an app was a big part of the Blur overhead, or least some part of it. So you really want Motorola to build more on top of the current (fairly clean ICS) look and feel just so you can hide apps, when the apps really are not hidden but just placed in another folder? At least this way of disabling an app will stop you from getting updates for those apps. I like this way a lot better then just hiding an app.

Yes You can!! Is a little different now but if u click on the top, "All apps" there is a list of choices then click new group and put only the apps u want there. Its good enough for me. :)

I do not like the fact that I can not remove Facebook from my phone. I don't want it. I know it's not using resources since I am not logged into it, but still, I would like the option to boot it.

So have you first uninstalled any updates to Facebook and then seen if there is a Disable button that appears under Manage apps? You should be able to disable it.

No. I have not installed any updates, and it doesn't even appear under manage apps. Very strange.

Are you sure you're looking under "All", and not "Downloaded"? If you haven't installed any updates, then it might only show up under "All" in Manage apps. Once you install an update, then it also shows up under "Downloaded."
