Can HW1 read me my texts?

Purchased new HW1 a few months ago and love it (look and function). Read up on it beforehand to compare to HW2. I have smaller hands and wrists and really like the style of the HW1, so I chose it over the HW2.

Looking to see if HW1 can read me texts. All of my googling seems to dump me to the HW2 information.
