Can I back up and restore EVERYTHING to another (same model) phone? Apps like LINE are my worry.

I have been reading and watching videos on this but so far am seeing no answers other than NO. I will have another ESSENTIAL PH-1 coming to me today and while my current PH-1 backs up to Google drive, apparently apps like Wechat, Telegram and Line do not back up. This is a problem.

Please correct me if I am wrong about that and if so, how to do it. Can I use WiFi and just copy one phone to the other?

I must admit that iPhones are far superior in this regard, at least from what I can see. With my old iPhones I could use iTunes and back it all up and then clone it to a new iPhone.

I really do not want to lose my chat history and pictures from LINE, Telegram and WeChat. They are important. Losing everything is a serious problem.

I don't know about WeChat and Line, but if you download Telegram on another device and log in, your chat history will appear.

An app such as SMS Backup & Restore can be used to restore your text history to a new device.

I don't know about the Essential phone, but others here will.

I go the same problem now. Trying to import Line chats with images from previous smartphone. The backup for some reason was only 567kb which did not seem right. This means images are not backed up. I need to make sure chat logs and images are backed up or can be transferred as well too. I found this link below from Line but it is not very clear on how all image are backed. Would be crazy to have to backup each image and then some how try to restore each chat log. There has to be a more simple way to transfer chat logs with their images inside them.Problem is once you start chat transfer all your info from previous device gets deleted so one can not mess this process up otherwise maybe you still have your chats but all your images are gone.
