Can i change the samsung messaging app to another.

I believe you can only use the apps in the Gear store.

I use Textra but it is through my note 5. Don't know about apps for standalone LTE models. I get notifications and can send through the Textra app from my frontier.

I actually like the stock messaging app on the S3. It's definitely not as good as textra but it serves its purpose. Being able write with my finger has worked well for me.

I use Textra you just can't use the stock message short cut , but usly just preview or respond with d voice anyway
