Charging Phone in United Kingdom

I would like to confirm that my Verizon S5 can be charged with the wall charger supplied with the phone while I am in the United Kingdom (I realize that I will need some sort of converter for the different plug connection to the wall).

Also, I would like to know if the car charger that I use in the US will work in the United Kingdom. Do the cars there have a charger port and is the port the same as cars in US?

Thanks for help

Re: Charging Phone in United Kingdom

You'll need an adaptor for the British standard, but your charger will work with no problem. In many places there's an USB plug with a 2.1 amp output. You can use it safely, your phone will draw as much power as it can.

I'm not sure about the cars, never used that kind of charger in England, but I think that it's the same standard than in the States.

Re: Charging Phone in United Kingdom

I figure the USB 3.0 Micro USB combo will be the same on both phones the other end which is the normal size USB which plugs into the wall wart should plug directly into a UK wall wart.
You'll probably just need the 2mA UK wall wart :)
The cars cigarette lighter (yep I'm old) should be the same as the US version.
I could be wrong so maybe a traveling member here will enlighten us :)
