I would like to disable haptic feedback everywhere, especially on the capacitative buttons. Any way to do so?

you can disable it on the keyboard by going to menu/settings/language&keyboard/multitouch(or swype) settings and unclick "vibrate on keypress"

As of right now no. But Im waiting for something to pop up. The Program for Root works well, but once you reboot. Haptic feedback is right back.

i would be very happy to be able to completly turn off ALL haptic feedback. please advise on how proceed

Amazing the Motorola missed this option. Its not like its thier first Android phone.

Ok I figured out a way been so long since I've used this option is forgot it worked, but download spare parts from the market and use that app to disable haptic feedback should work on the atrix it does on my d2. Oh yeah it doesn't require root
Edit
oh and it has the the option to speed up your transition animations and window animations makes a big difference

Yes that is works great on my d2 I don't have haptic feedback on my buttons guess it needs to find something for non root users
