Can I do this with my Nexus 7?

I preordered a N7 a few days ago. This will be my first tablet. The wife has a stock Fire, but I only use it for light browsing.

I would like to be able to use the N7 in the truck for Google Music, Torque, Google Nav or equivalent, Netflix, Gmail, etc. I have a rooted Epic 4G Touch with wifi tether. Does this sound doable?

Absolutely. Not 100% certain on the GPS Nav, but it should definitely doable with a data connection. Everything else is 100% yes.

I think the Nav part will work as long as you either have cached maps or are tethered. According to the specifications it does have a GPS receiver onboard.

Don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to.

You can also install Sygic or CoPilot - both of them have maps on the device itself so you don't have to worry about tethering. I've been very happy with Sygic on my Transformer.
